Home Groups
D-Groups
While our celebration services offer a time for the whole community to come together to worship, hear the Word, and fellowship, we believe that relationship is best accomplished in the group setting. Here at the Inland Vineyard we offer both Small Groups, which are open to all, and D-Groups, which are closed groups.
Small Groups usually consist of up to 15 people who meet weekly to grow relationally and spiritually. These groups offer a more intimate environment, where more time is available for the individual needs, questions, etc. They also provide a safe place to make new friends, practice our gifting's, and grow closer to Jesus.
Some small groups meet here at the church and others meet in the leader's home.
Discipleship Groups are also called D-Groups. Here at the Inland Vineyard we believe that we are all to become disciples of Christ and think that a great way to grow into being His disciple is by committing to a D-Group.
D-Groups are different from Small Groups in that they are smaller in size (usually limited to 4 - 6 people), open by invitation only, and require a consistent commitment. This means that when a D-Group is formed and the commitments of each individual involved are made, the group then is closed for the agreed upon length of time. The reason for this is we have observed that for some people, genuine relational and spiritual growth happens best in a closed, committed group, where each member is there every week and is free to open up and share whatever is on their heart.
